Photography Publication:
a new chapter

In my photography class in 2024, I was tasked with making my own publication of my own photos. We each had our own personal direction, and we spent all semester working on it and gathering our photos. It was officially published using Blurb.com.

It was my second semester at CSU East Bay. Everything was still so new to me, and I was learning so much about myself at this time. When I moved to the Bay Area for school, it felt like a fresh start for me. A new chapter even. I wanted my publication to reflect that.

All the photos within this publication are from my time in the Bay Area up until the time of publishing. To me, they are moments that represent my growth as a person, and the adventures I’ve been on since moving. I no longer felt stagnant back in my hometown, and instead, I felt free. I was finally seeing the world and my surroundings in a new light.

I’m eternally grateful for this time of my life and how it has shaped me. I’m grateful for the friends I made, the adventures I went on, and the opportunities that I've come across here. To this day, this publication and the photos within it mean a great deal to me.
