Gametime Internship

In August 2025, while I was still a graphic design student at CSU East Bay, I became an intern for Gametime, a ticket app known for its last minute deals and cheap prices. I became a member of the creative team, and was tasked with creating a wide variety of ads for Facebook, TikTok, and Reddit.

Alongside the creative team, I also became part of the marketing team. I learned the connection between the creative and marketing team, and how they work together to advertise for the app. Not only was I creating the ads, but I was advertising them as well through different social media platforms, and helping the creative and marketing team test which ads tested positively versus which ones tested negatively.

To this day, I work at Gametime as a creative and marketing intern, and have learned so much in my time here. I feel as if this real world experience has opened my eyes to what the graphic design industry is really about, and has helped me improve as a designer. I understand what it means to communicate a specific message using a specific style, and how to communicate those messages in a way that people will understand. It’s also been interesting to see each day how the industry is changing and how we, as a company and as individual designers, adapt to that change. The design world and social media trends are fleeting, and it’s up to us as designers to keep up.

I hope to continue growing as an artist and designer in the real world throughout my life. I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve met within Gametime. THey’ve taught me so much, and I want to take the lessons I’ve learned and apply them in other places as well.

Thank you Gametime for the endless concerts, the beautiful connections and friends, the artistic lessons, and the new experiences. Thank you for taking a chance with me and trusting me with your ideas. I will forever be grateful for you and those who have made this experience special and memorable.
