Senior Project Photos

In my Graphic Design section, I displayed my senior project titled “beauty in the mundane”. As I mentioned before, “beauty in the mundane” became a personal project to me. It was centered around an EP I plan to release within the next few years. I created several deliverables including a vinyl sleeve, a CD booklet, shirts, hoodies, and so much more.

A large portion of this project was photography based. These photos below are the photos I used for my vinyl sleeve and my CD booklet. In my CD booklet, each photo is associated with the song and journal excerpt beside it. While I understand a CD booklet is meant to include lyrics and credits for each song, I had not yet created any lyrics for my songs. So I thought instead that I would journal about each song, and what it means to me. Each photo was meant to further bring my journal entry to life.

I wanted to display these photos here, individually. These photos all hold meaning to me. They all play a part in my journey of enjoying the little things. They all show what it means to be stuck in my own head and my heart, trying to find the light in some way. I believe they’re a great example of art that comes from your heart; of what it means to tell a story as an artist.

I don’t think I’ll ever give up these photos in my music. I know I will made edits and changes throughout these next few years as I make my music and add in my lyrics, and as my life progresses into new chapters. But I think these photos will forever be a part of my music.
